Fine 18th century George 3rd 8 day mahogany cased longcase clock by JAMES WARREN of CANTERBURY. Typical "London" design mahogany case made from the finest flame mahogany veneers. The base section with astragal moulding and original feet. Long door with moulded decoration to the outside. Quarter reeded columns with brass inlay. Boxwood fan inlays to the top of the body. The hood with matching reeded columns with brass inlay and pagoda design top with fretted decoration.
The original dial and movement, the dial is very nicely painted with gilt decoration and a refined floral design to the arch. The movement is 8 day striking on a bell at the hour and has been fully serviced. Made by JAMES WARREN of CANTERBURY.
The clock is in good condition apart from one brass column capital is missing and will need to be copied to match (this is included in the price).
